Supported Home

In 1976 Goodsell House was set up as a trust by the founder of a local building firm to provide accommodation for homeless men. Over the years many residents have been grateful for respite from the streets and the chance to turn their lives around. Goodsell House is registered with the Council as Supported Housing, this means that as well as providing accommodation to our guests we also provide various forms of support, care, or supervision to help individuals live as independently as possible in the community, working with them to secure more permanent accommodation.
Much of our focus is now on addressing the individual needs of our clients to help them become more independent. We set up an office at Goodsell House where as well as admin work, one to one meetings can take place in privacy, with our support worker and other volunteer health practitioners.

Goodsell House cannot operate without donations and grants to help combat the rising costs required for such a large building. Goodsell relies on support through donations, resident's housing benefit and the time and dedication of our volunteers. Please consider donating today.
